Against the backdrop of the theory of optimal stimulation as a possible explanation for the behavior of hyperactive children, the effect of compensatory stimulation through unspecific, noninformational color-stimulation was tested. Subjects were eight hyperactive boys age 7 to 8 and a normal control group from the same age group.
