Kurzfassung

New very high resolution ensembles of regional climate change projection atmospheric model simulations with resolutions down to 1 km specifically for Luxembourg and the Grande Région will be produced to (a) better capture momentum, energy and water vapour transfers / fluxes associated with vegetation and small scale surface heterogeneity and (b) hence improve the simulation of precipitation, evapotranspiration, interception, runoff, soil water and thus also ground water recharge in comparison...New very high resolution ensembles of regional climate change projection atmospheric model simulations with resolutions down to 1 km specifically for Luxembourg and the Grande Région will be produced to (a) better capture momentum, energy and water vapour transfers / fluxes associated with vegetation and small scale surface heterogeneity and (b) hence improve the simulation of precipitation, evapotranspiration, interception, runoff, soil water and thus also ground water recharge in comparison to the baseline data used in the first part of the study. Also, high-resolution regional climate model simulations provide local data (as the basis for more informed options) for stakeholders and the scientific community alike to conduct further impact assessment studies. I.e. one objective of these model runs is also to lay a broad foundation to further research on runoff, discharge (i.e. floods) and groundwater refilling as well as water resources management and water stress for agriculture under climate change conditions in the Grande Région.» weiterlesen» einklappen
