Kurzfassung

This special issue spotlights the construction and representation of “funny women” in different media, as well as the artistic and creative work by women in the comedy business in the Anglophone world. This focus highlights both diachronic developments and the increasing visibility of female comedians in literature, nonfiction, on stage, on the big and small screens, and on the internet.
