BMWi (FKZ: ZF4294002AP9): Development of innovative printing materials and 3D printing of individualized stents and vascular prostheses
Laufzeit: 01.01.2019 - 31.12.2021
Kurzfassung
According to the current state of the art, 3D printing of longer and/or complex shaped medical cylindrical hollow bodies consisting of hydrogels or bioplastics is not possible or only hardly possible, which means that medical applications in the field of tissue engineering can only develop their potential to a limited extent. The aim of the project is the development of an innovative rotating platform drum system for the 3D printing of seamless hollow cylinders for biomedical applications....According to the current state of the art, 3D printing of longer and/or complex shaped medical cylindrical hollow bodies consisting of hydrogels or bioplastics is not possible or only hardly possible, which means that medical applications in the field of tissue engineering can only develop their potential to a limited extent. The aim of the project is the development of an innovative rotating platform drum system for the 3D printing of seamless hollow cylinders for biomedical applications. For this purpose, the novel drum unit is developed and integrated into a 3D bioplotter. With the help of this system, patient-specific stents for blood-vessel- or bile-duct-stenoses and – as proof-of-concept – vascular prostheses are manufactured and characterized from innovative biocompatible and biodegradable materials.» weiterlesen» einklappen
