Development of an innovative, individualized tumor model using 3D printing
Laufzeit: 01.01.2016 - 31.12.2019
Kurzfassung
The aim of the project is the development of a personalized tumor model for patient-specific drug discovery and adaptation of cancer therapy. For this purpose, a 3D cell culture model is developed using tumor tissue from patients. In addition to the tumor cells, tumor-surrounding cells are isolated and cultured. In order to reproduce the tissue structures as naturally as possible, a 3D printer for organic tissue is used. Inorganic polyphosphate (polyP) is added as an extracellular energy...The aim of the project is the development of a personalized tumor model for patient-specific drug discovery and adaptation of cancer therapy. In order to reproduce the tissue structures as naturally as possible, a 3D printer for organic tissue is used. Inorganic polyphosphate (polyP) is added as an extracellular energy source to maintain the functionality of the cells, also in the center of a 3D cell culture.
