Kurzfassung

Oral squamous cell cancer (OSCC) often resist adjuvant therapies through different mechanisms, including upregulation of anti-apoptotic factors and enhanced ROS resistance. The anti-oxidative enzyme PON2 significantly enhances cellular stress resistance and is often upregulated in cancer. Therefore, PON2s yet unknown role in protection of OSCC against therapeutically induced cell death is investigated.
