Kurzfassung
Smurf2 is an evolutionarily conserved E3 ubiquitin ligase implicated in a wide range of processess including cell division, motility, protein turnover and modulation of the chromatin structure. Smurf 2 has been implicated in the maintenance of stemness and is a key modulator of TGFbeta, one of the hub molecular regulators of glioma progression. This project addresses the role of Smurf2 in glioma stem cells.
