Kurzfassung
Peripherly inserted central venous catheters (PICC) are widely used in the treatment of preterm and term infants in neonatal intensive care units. Patients are at risk to develop catheter-related thromboses. There are obviously no studies on the incidence of these adverse events. A prospective study aims to record incidence and risk factors of thromboses related to PICCs in preterm and term infants.
