iCal Q TSH assay for measurement in serum

Kurzfassung
Prospective evaluation of fresh serum samples from patients with confirmed euthyroidism (n=100) and from patients with known hypothyroidism (n=300), is planned. Subsequent to the clinical investigation of the endocrine outpatients with various thyroid disorders including patient history, ultrasound imaging of the thyroid, complete check-up of the thyroid-related hormones and autoantibodies, baseline TSH will be measured in all collected samples within four hours with the iCal Q assay as well...Prospective evaluation of fresh serum samples from patients with confirmed euthyroidism (n=100) and from patients with known hypothyroidism (n=300), is planned. Subsequent to the clinical investigation of the endocrine outpatients with various thyroid disorders including patient history, ultrasound imaging of the thyroid, complete check-up of the thyroid-related hormones and autoantibodies, baseline TSH will be measured in all collected samples within four hours with the iCal Q assay as well as with the two other automated devices (ECLIA, Cobas, and Architect, LIA, Abbott). A small volume of two milliliters only of serum per patient is required. Written informed consent will be obtained from all patients prior to blood sampling. Total number of measured blood samples with the four devices: 1,400.
