Biomimetic nanoparticles with enzymatic activity for replacement therapy of sulfite oxidase deficiency
Laufzeit: 01.01.2012 - 31.12.2012
Kurzfassung
The goal of this project is to test biomimetic MoO3 nanoparticles in a biological system with respect to their feasability in replacing SuOx deficiency. Cell culture models in combination with molecular biology methods will be employed for establishing new SuOx deficient cells for testing replacement treatment with MoO3 nanoparticles. The inter-disciplinary nature of the project is defined by the complementary expertise and established cooperation of the two labs involved: chemical synthesis...The goal of this project is to test biomimetic MoO3 nanoparticles in a biological system with respect to their feasability in replacing SuOx deficiency. Cell culture models in combination with molecular biology methods will be employed for establishing new SuOx deficient cells for testing replacement treatment with MoO3 nanoparticles. The inter-disciplinary nature of the project is defined by the complementary expertise and established cooperation of the two labs involved: chemical synthesis and modifications of the MoO3 nanorods in the Tremel lab combined with the cell and molecular biology orientation of the Strand lab. An ongoing cooperation is in place and documented by three joint papers.» weiterlesen» einklappen
