Our main hypothesis is that participants who engage in aerobic exercise (a cycling task) immediately after a social stressor (a Trier Social Stress Test variant) will show a significantly higher reduction in negative affect compared to participants who do not exercise (control condition: stretching).
We furthermore hypothesize that participants who engaged in aerobic exercise will perform better in a cognitive reappraisal task compared to participants who stretched.
