The Theban priest Chamhor C was member of the family of the famous Monthemhet and his hieratic Book of the Dead papyrus can therefore be dated around 630 BC. Unfor-tunately, it was divided into several parts and fragments, which have been spread over five museums (Florence, Toronto, New York, Providence, Ann Arbor), but some parts are still missing. The publication presents all sources known at present, with colour photos of the papyrus and complete hieroglyphic transliteration. The chapters are dealing with the sources, the owner, whose name #Am-@r means “The one who bows to Horus”, the repertoire of spells within BD 18 and BD 145, the vignettes of which only a few, partly as sketches, had been worked out, and the layout. The papyrus was written by four scribes, whose hands differ in palaeographic respect and writing habits.
