The purpose of this risk literacy study was to explore the ways of integrating examples of global challenges into mathematics education. The examples follow an approach to introduce risk literacy in teacher education along with a curriculum analysis for secondary education in Germany to include risk literacy within the given requirements and constraints. Two main examples, microplastic pollution and extreme events due to climate change, are analysed in the interdisciplinary context of global...The purpose of this risk literacy study was to explore the ways of integrating examples of global challenges into mathematics education. The examples follow an approach to introduce risk literacy in teacher education along with a curriculum analysis for secondary education in Germany to include risk literacy within the given requirements and constraints. Two main examples, microplastic pollution and extreme events due to climate change, are analysed in the interdisciplinary context of global challenges and their understanding of mathematical knowledge for teaching and learning stochastics.» weiterlesen» einklappen
