In order to test the statistical quality of the scales, various analyses were conducted employing the data from five nonclinical samples. The internal structure was examined using confirmatory factor analyses. In addition, the psychometric properties of the items and scales were determined. In order to test the external validity of the scales, associations of the STDS with other depression scales as well as with other state and trait inventories were analyzed. Employing data from an additional sample, latent state-trait analyses substantiated the scales' underlying state-trait concept. Furthermore, in an experiment with the controlled induction of success and failure, the sensitivity of the state scale as well as the interaction of state and trait depression were examined. » weiterlesen» einklappen
