A new species of Leptolalax is described from Gunung Benom, Pahang, Peninsular Malaysia. The types specimens had been assigned to L. gracilis but differ from topotypic specimens of this species in a number of morphological characters, including head size, interorbital and internarial distance, eye size, distance between the eye and the nostril, snout shape, presence of a skin flap above the vent, size of the pectoral gland, size of the palmar tubercle, and ventral and dorsal colouration.
