In this paper we present a method to prepare amorphous thin films with controlled structural in-homogeneities on a length scale just above the short range order (10?100 Å). The influence on transport properties and superconductivity of the systems (Mo0.6Ru0.4)0.85B0.15 and Zr1-xSix is discussed in the framework of a structure model obtained from SAXS and RPHS-computer simulation.
