Qoheleth (Ecclesiastes) is a book about the search for true happiness. One of its basic statements is that true happiness does not result from human effort alone, but that a persons being able to eat and drink and find fulfillment in his or her work ultimately comes from Gods hand (see Qoh 2:24). Qoheleth applies this principle to every stage of human life. In his final poem (Qoh 11:912:7), Qoheleth describes the discomfort of old age and the human way to death: the years of which someone ...Qoheleth (Ecclesiastes) is a book about the search for true happiness.
