The overarching objective of the "InnoFès" project is to develop a sustainable implementation concept for the main project phase in accordance with the funding announcement. The main project phase aims to develop an innovative university ecosystem in the region of Fès, Morocco, whose core is the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fès (UEMF). 

An important pillar of this regional innovation ecosystem will be the creation of the UEMF Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre (IEC). The aim of the IEC is to promote innovation and entrepreneurial thinking and action through education, advisory support, networking and research.

From the perspective of regional networks and clusters, InnoFès is open to all kinds of innovation activities in the region, including social innovation. However, it can be assumed that the focus will be on agricultural sciences, information and communication technologies ("digitalisation") as well as renewable energies, as the corresponding activities are particularly strong in the Fès region.

Above this, one goal of InnoFès is the research-based design of this university innovation ecosystem. Accordingly, an independent doctoral program will be developed and implemented, and it will accompany all InnoFès activities for the main phase with a focus on systemic innovation.
