Recently, achalasia of the esophagus has been grouped into three different manometric phenotypes - the Chicago Classification. It has been suggested that those types respond differently to surgical and endoscopic treatment. However, manometric data about postoperative thresholds are lacking. We aim to:
1. establish manometric reference values for surgically treated patients with achalasia
