Kurzfassung

We have generated mice mutant for the tumor suppressor gene CYLD. We have evidence that the CYLD enzyme is involved in tumor development in mice. We propose to further investigate the mechanisms by which CYLD participates in tumorigenesis, by investigating mice that lack CYLD or harbor mutations in this gene. Further, we will generate mice that over express the CYLD protein in a tissue-specific manner in order to understand how CYLD is involved in the process of tumor development.
