A randomized, controlled, double blind, clinical trial to treat patients with edentulous mandibles with two Straumann 3.3mm Diameter Bone Level Implants which will be restored with a removable prosthesis by comparing two different implant alloys (Titanium Grade IV vs. Titanium Zircon) in split mouth design (Roxolid)

Kurzfassung
study
• Two Straumann 3.3 mm Bone Level Implants will be inserted in the interforaminal region of the mandible
• Implants out of two different alloys will be compared in the study: Titanium Grade IV and Titanium Oxide
• Each patient will receive both implant types in blinded, randomized procedure
• Implants will be restored after a healing time of 6 weeks with a removable prosthesis by using locator abutments
• Change in crestal bone level will be study by using standardized x-rays
