Characterization of the gene-regulatory function of the histone deacetylase SIRT6 in inflammation and fibrogenesis of the liver
Laufzeit: 01.01.2016 - 31.12.2017
Kurzfassung
The proposed project is to characterize the role of the epigenetic regulator SIRT6 during liver inflammation and fibrogenesis. Here we will analyze the mechanism of SIRT6-mediated gene regulation in hepatocytes, as well as the resulting immunological consequences during liver fibrogenesis. In the proposed project we will use human primary hepatocytes and liver cell lines already generated in our lab with a CRISPR/Cas9 mediated Sirt6-deletion.
